The Hidden Waterfalls of Cao Bang
Cao Bang province is known for its rugged landscapes and hidden gems. But some of its most spectacular waterfalls require a bit of effort to reach.
A local guide led me through a dense forest, following a stream that grew louder with every step. After an hour of hiking, we emerged at a clearing where a cascade of water plunged into a turquoise pool below.
The spray created a natural mist that caught the light, forming a faint rainbow over the falls. I set up my camera with a polarizing filter to cut through the glare and bring out the deep greens of the surrounding moss.
Long exposure was the obvious choice here. At f/16 and ISO 100, I let the shutter stay open for 2 seconds, turning the rushing water into a silky flow against the sharp rocks.
